Reply with quote | #1 | One of my dancers is moving to the Mesa, Arizona area and they are hoping to find her a dance school there. She is coming from a mid sized studio where she was on the competition troupe. Any suggestions from my fellow dance moms? I am really going to miss her!! |

Reply with quote | #2 | We've gone up against Dance Connection Too and they had some really good dances. They are in Gilbert, AZ, but not too far from Mesa depending on what area they are going to be in... |

Reply with quote | #5 | Also let her know that we've had some SYTYCD dancers come from our state. I saw Ade compete with Dance Connection Scottsdale 3 years ago, and Lauren came from Benders in North Phoenix... |

Reply with quote | #6 | Another season 5 top 20 contestant, Ashley Valerio, grew up in Mesa and danced at DC Too.
I do not want to discourage your dancer but you should be clear that these studios are loaded with very very good dancers. DC Too and Impact Dance are fairly large and their style is heavy in contemporary. I am not as familiar with Club Dance they seem more Jazz oriented to me but someone else is probably better suited to say than I am.
The only reason I mention it is because, unless the dancer is exceptional, it can be tough for a new student to get on the elite teams at these studios on the first try.. |

Reply with quote | #7 | Tempe Dance Acad. has the best ballet out of all those mentioned (in my opinion). __________________ "It takes an athlete to dance, but an artist to be a dancer." |

Reply with quote | #8 | We are moving to AZ as well near Phoenix and are moving down after December and I planned on attending a local competition to see some of these teams compete to see if it is the right studio for us. __________________ Older sister and dance mom to dancing diva Cassie 11 years old. |

Reply with quote | #9 | Jump will be at the Phoenix Convention Center downtown January 15-17. There are usually many good studios at that convention. Also, ask AZMOM which competitions her studio is attending and go check them out. Much will depend on which side of the valley you live on.
You can PM me if you like. I am sure there are very good studios that I am not familiar with but I can give you names of most of the usual suspects. |

Reply with quote | #10 | We are going to:
Rainbow Connection
Nuvo
Starbound
KAR
Rainbow Connection and Starbound are new to us this year, so I don't know how well-attended they will be. KAR always has lots of studios, and Hall of Fame last year had some spectacular talent on display... |
